ResMed's ClimateLineAir™ Oxy Heated Tube for AirSense™ 10 and AirCurve™ 10 Machines features a small port on the cuff of the heated tube which allows the user to connect to supplemental oxygen.
Snap the cuff onto the AirSense™ 10 or AirCurve™ 10 outlet to experience Climate Control's consistent warmth and humidity.
Climate Control
The Climate Control feature directly determines the temperature and humidity levels carried from the hose to the mask.
The hose receives the warmth and humidity provided by the Climate Control feature, which is built-in to the HumidAir™ humidifier.
The user can select between two options: Climate Control Auto or Climate Control Manual. The purpose of the feature is to increase the comfort of therapy.
The difference between the options is based on the dependence of Climate Control and Tube Temperature.
Climate Control Auto mode is recommended and is the default mode. Tube Temperature Auto and Climate Control Auto work in collaboration to prevent rainout and maintain moisture.
Tube temperature is set to 80 degrees F (27 degree C) in auto mode. The climate control feature then works dependent of the tube temperature to maintain a humidity of 85 percent.
Climate Control Auto will adjust the temperature of the air as it passes out of the humidifier in order to maintain humidity.
If the air feels too cold or too warm, the tube temperature can be set between 60 to 86 degree F (16 to 30 degree C), or the feature can be turned off completely.
In Climate Control Manual mode, the temperature in the tube is separate from the humidity. The user may adjust the temperature and the humidity without effecting the other component.
A potential drawback to the manual option is rainout. Without temperature and humidity working together, there is a greater chance for rainout.
If moisture begins to build in the hose, the user will need to begin troubleshooting the issue by adjusting the humidity levels.
Optional Humidity
Humidity is designed to relieve possible effects from sleep therapy. Moisture added to therapy may reduce dryness in the nasal passages and mouth.
Ultimately, humidity exists to provide comfort throughout the night.
Humidity Tips: To determine whether the humidity is too high or too low, look for the following indicators:
Increasing dry nose and mouth may imply the humidity level is not high enough. In this situation, raise the humidity level to decrease dryness.
Moisture building in the mask can be a sign of too much humidity. Reduce the humidity level to help minimize the moisture build-up.
To adjust the humidity levels on the HumidAir humidifier, select My Options and move the dial to select the ideal level.
Once the selection is determined, press the dial to secure the choice. The options range from Level 1 to Level 8 with Level 1 representing the lowest of the range.
If desired, the user may also select to turn the humidity off.

Cleaning Tips
For optimal performance, wash the tubing each week. Use warm water and mild shampoo to clean the tubing. Rinse well and allow it to dry away from sunlight.
It is safe to completely submerge the hose in water as long as it is completely dry before connecting it for use.
