Breathing easy thanks to the benefits of the salt pipe.

The Sims salt pipe is a simple device - basically a small porcelain pipe that is filled with salt that has been mined exclusively mined from Himalayan salt caves.

The climate in this region apparently calms end cleanses the respiratory system. The pipe works by drawing the moist ambient air up through the crystals producing amazingly beneficial effects for the user.

Anthony Simms, who has been selling the pipes for over a year said a lady who was wheelchair bound arrived and she explained to me how she had for a long time suffered from COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease) apparently caused by smoking for years and I told her about my equally long term air sinus problems and the mucus from them getting on my chest causing me to be short of breath.

Then she told me about her salt pipe - she said that since using it her breathing had improved so much that she could now get out and about. "My first thought was that this salt pipe therapy was just a gimmick and that it wouldn't work for me but this lady, I could tell she meant what she had said and that was good enough for me".

That introduction lead Mr Simms to discover the benefits of the salt pipe for himself. He said after buying a salt pipe and experimenting with he realised he was beginning to feel a whole lot better than he had done for years, and he could, for the first time,  actually feel the cold air entering my lungs. He soon discovered that Eastern European salt miners have much lower numbers of sufferers with respiratory problems, seemingly due to the benefits of the salty air in the atmosphere.

When he realised that it was the salt pipe that was improving his respiration he went about researching all the brands and designs of salt pipes that were available and he managed to locate a source of pipes that used opaque Himalayan salt crystals and had the necessary wide base. He then approached the manufacturer with the intention of supplying the pipes in the UK and beyond as well as offering advice on their use.

To gain the maximum benefits, the user needs to use the pipe for 20 minutes a day in two 10 minute sessions. You can reasonably expect the salt to last at least five years, often longer. The pipes actually cause the hardened mucous that was blocking the sufferer's airways to dissolve, allowing them to breathe properly. The salt pipes secondary benefit is allowing much deeper breathing so it can mean an end to, or at least greatly reduced, breathlessness.

Because this therapy is inhaled and not ingested it is completely alright to be used with existing medications and vitamin supplements. It is basically a concentrated version of breathing in healthy seaside air although it is much more pure. For those with no respiratory problems using a salt pipe regularly will help keep things that way.

This could be the ideal treatment for people who have smoked for a long time, miners as well as sleep disorder sufferers. It is also ideal for people who are health conscious and want to prevent the onset of respiratory problems, thus saying healthy for longer.

Even athletes and sports men and women who have researched the subject are staring to use them  as a kind of health insurance to prevent problems ever occurring that could end their sports careers.
