Continuous positive air pressure (CPAP) is an effective treatment for obstructive sleep apnea. Obstructive sleep apnea is a condition in which the patient’s breathing becomes obstructed by collapsed airways as they sleep. The breathing difficulties cause sleep disruptions. Applying positive air pressure to the airways can prevent the airways from collapsing and allow the patient to breathe and sleep better.
Sleeping with an open mouth can allow the positive air pressure to escape and diminish the effectiveness of CPAP therapy. A CPAP chinstrap can serve to keep the mouth shut while sleeping, and serve as an alternative to using a full face CPAP mask. Because it is made from soft, latex-free materials, the chinstrap is breathable and ensures wearers of a comfortable night’s sleep. The material used for the strap further provides adequate stretch, so you don’t feel constricted or strangled while wearing it. These chinstraps may be worn under CPAP, BiPAP, or other oxygen therapy masks so you can continue with your CPAP therapy without fail. They are easy to put on and pull off, durable, and simply effective. They are also latex-free, giving patients with latex allergies a better option. Maintenance of the product is easy, as it is washable by hand. Sizing variants include Small, Medium, and Large to accommodate most wearers
